2011: VISIONARIA WILL NOT TAKE PLACE

Dear Authors, Dear Friends of the Festival,
this year the twentieth edition of Visionaria Film Festival will not take place.
It has been postponed until next year, 2012, April 20 to 25.
This difficult decision is essentially due to an economic condition preventing the organization of the event, and this is quite common among the many cultural activities, suspending in Italy their work or even closing their doors, in a worrying general situation where culture and education have been reduced to a useless accessory.
The Cultural Association Visionaria, which has been fighting for the past twenty years and not only through the festival, for the development of short film and the audiovisual language as important means of social and cultural growth, this time is in the absolute impossibility to stick to its word to the authors (and our devoted audience).
Although it does not depend on our will, we apologize to all of You. —

With "La pivellina" begins Fuori Fuoco 3

Kicks off the third edition of Fuori Fuoco (Out of Focus), this year titled "Breaking Cover", the event dedicated to independent film penalized by large retailers. —

Fuori Fuoco 2011

The Italian cinema is the star with Fuori Fuoco, the exhibition organized by Visionaria and curated by Giuseppe Gori Savellini.
A tasty selection of independent films, which were penalized by large retailers, preceded by an interesting overview of the archive of short films selected by Visionaria, which will be shown, in the Cortile del Podestà in Siena in Piazza del Campo and Monteriggioni - Castellina Scalo in Piazza Bersaglieri d'Italia. The appointments, all free admission, will be enriched by the debates that will follow the screenings, attended by directors, writers, actors and producers.

It begins with the first cycle in Monteriggioni, Tuesday, Aug. 23 with a screening of the film "La Pivellina" by Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel 2009, preceded by the short "Uerra" Sassanelli Paolo (Italy 2009). Then continue on 24 August with the film "Fughe e approdi" by Giovanna Taviani, 2010, preceded by the short "Stiller See" Lena Liberta (Germany 2009). Fuori Fuoco closes this piece of the film "Peter" by Daniel Gaglianone of 2010, which will be screened on August 25, preceded by the short film "About Love" by Giacomo Agnetti (Italy 2008)

The exhibition will continue in Siena with two other events not to miss: Tuesday, August 30, with a screening of the film "Una notte blu cobalto" by Daniele Gangemi in 2009, preceded by the short "Les bessones Carrer de Ponent" Marc Riba and Solanas (Spain 2010). On 31 August, however, will screen Out of Fire "Questo mondo è per te" a film by Francesco Falaschi of 2011, preceded by the short film "Cigarette Candy " by Lauren Wolkstein (U.S. 2009)

All screenings are scheduled at 21.30 and are free entry.
